Definition of Devices in Analytics

Siteimprove classifies devices based on the user agent (browser in most cases) used by the visitor. Note that the category "Desktop" includes other devices such as gaming consoles and smart TV. You can view the different browsers used on your site by going to Analytics> Visitors > Browsers.

In Behavior Map, we define devices by browser window (view port) width*:



  • Desktop: 1067-1366px wide (and above)

  • Tablet: 544-1066px wide

  • Mobile: 0-543px wide

    *View port widths have been standardized in the Siteimprove Intelligence Platform based on more common device screen sizes (below).
