Accessibility: Troubleshooting "Issues we cannot re-find"

The number of instances of an issue you see on the page overview lists are the numbers Siteimprove picked up in the last crawl.

Sometimes we cannot re-find all of the instances of an issue on the page report. This is depicted like this in the Page Report:

Often this is because the instances actually do not exist on the page anymore.

There could be a number of reasons for this, including:

  • Differences between browsers. Using Chrome might help.
  • Changes in assets (CSS, JavaScript, etc.). This might cause a sudden rise in the instances we cannot re-find. These can be eliminated by rechecking the page.
  • Dynamic content that is added or modified after load or that changes from time to time.
  • Re-check the page or site to try and rectify the issue.
