What is a Referring page in Quality Assurance (QA)?

You can see Referring pages in QA at, QA > Inventory > Pages, from here, expand the Referring pages column.

A Referring page is a website page that links to the page you are inspecting. A referring page is in some cases described as the parent and the page it links to is called the child.

Referring pages show the parent pages a user can visit that link to the child page you are reviewing.

We are showing internal referrers, i.e. the page URL is internal to your website and typically shares the same URL domain as the page being reviewed.

To avoid broken links, you can edit the links on the referring parent pages before removing a page from your website.

Information on external referring pages in Analytics is available in the article “How are Traffic Sources defined in Analytics?”.
